Description:

The AFMO LPA920 provides an optical OC-3c ATM 155.52 Mbps feeder facility interface for AnyMedia® Access System ATM xDSL services. This interface meets the requirements of SONET/OC-3c and can be used in either simplex or duplex mode.
The OC-3c may be terminated directly at an ATM network, or may be transported over a SONET transmission system. The AFMO LPA920 serves as the common control and feeder interface unit for AnyMedia® Access System ATM xDSL services. The AFMO LPA920 multiplexes/demultiplexes ATM cells between the OC-3c feeder and subscribers through the ATM xDSL APs.

In simplex mode, the AFMO LPA920 is used only in the slot marked AP-16/AFM.
In duplex mode, one AFMO LPA920 is installed in the slot marked AP-16/AFM and a second AFMO LPA920 is installed in the slot marked AP-15.

Properly equipped cabinets are designed to maintain internal environmental conditions within appropriate operational limits for AnyMedia® Access System equipment so system performance conforms to TR-NWT-000057.
